JupiterImages Acquires Goodshoot S.A.S.

JupiterImages Corporation has acquired all of the shares of Goodshoot S.A.S., the royalty-free image provider based in France.

“Goodshoot's operations in France complement our existing direct-sales operations in the UK and Germany, and will enable further expansion of our JupiterImages business throughout Europe,” says Alan Meckler, chairman and CEO of Jupitermedia, parent company of JupiterImages. “We are pleased that Philippe Bigard, founder of Goodshot, will continue to provide world-class imagery for Goodshoot and Jupiterimages.”

Bigard created Goodshoot in 1994, and moved its imagery on-line in 2000. The company lists nearly 13,000 images and more than 200 CD collections on its website. Collection titles include, “New Home,” “Sofa Beach,” “Dressing Room,” “Massage,” “Senses in Action,” “Business & Teams,” “Business Portraits,” and others.

JupiterImages, headquartered in Darien, CT, acquired Creatas, PictureQuest, LiquidLibrary, and other parts of the Dynamic Graphics Group in early 2005. It reports that it has more than 7 million images online. (JupiterImages: www.jupiterimages.com, GoodShoot: www.goodshoot.com)
