The Job 5 Wits, which specializes in live action-adventure games, was in search of the perfect partner to help ramp up excitement for the opening of their fifth location in the Walden Galleria Mall in Buffalo, New York. While the space was being built, 5 Wits turned to the mall’s preferred supplier, B3 Marketing, to create some hype with temporary barricade graphics.

“If it’s ‘wrappable,’ we pretty much do it. We create environments for people. They count on us for our ideas; we’re not just a cookie cutter-type shop,” says B3 President Thomas Oliver.

Production 5 Wits wanted to make a big impression on mallgoers, so B3 opted to go with what they know best: a floor-to-ceiling wall wrap. “Our specialty is definitely the grander-format, extremely large project – like building wraps,” says Oliver.

B3 used their HP Designjet L28500 latex printer to produce more than 30 panels on 3M Controltac IJ180C-10 vinyl, making sure to label each 4 x 12-foot sheet. In addition to the full wrap, B3 printed 1100 square feet of striped and white die-cut logos, finishing all the prints with 3M Scotchcal Ultra-Matte Overlaminate 8915. With all 3100 square feet of printed material in tow, the installers prepared for a long night at the mall.

The team of two arrived at Walden Galleria as it was closing around 9:30 p.m. and got to work. Installation took close to nine hours, wrapping up at 6:30 a.m. “When you’re sitting there with 30 plus sheets of vinyl, it’s a little overwhelming. But, we take pride in these big projects and know we can get them done. It’s a matter of hammering it out,” says Oliver.
