The 2003 Icograda World Congress will take place in Nagoya, Japan from October 8-11, 2003. Icograda is the acronym for the sponsoring organization–the International Council of Graphic Design Associations, which represents 70 design associations in 45 countries.

More than 80 speakers from 26 countries will share their views on topics ranging from identity, entertainment, sustainability, intellectual property, and the design business.

The theme of the Congress is “Quality of Information,” and will be supported by three sub-themes: Clarity, Creativity, and Joy/Humor.

The International Graphic Design Fair, an International Student Poster Competition, and International New Designers Workshop will be held in conjunction with the Congress, which is expected to attract more than 1400 designers and students from more than 40 countries.
