Xerox Corporation will partner with an array of companies to produce Innovate '05, a 14-city seminar series designed to help print providers and creative and agency experts use digital printing technology to increase productivity, reduce costs, improve work processes, and provide more services to customers. The free, daylong educational seminars are designed for commercial and in-plant printers as well as professionals in the marketing, creative, and design services fields.

“Businesses might be involved in creative design, marketing or printing, but they are all interested in improving services to their clients,” says Val Blauvelt, vice president of marketing, Xerox Production Systems Group. “With Innovate '05 we are helping customers build their businesses, deliver new value to their customers and enhance profitability.”

Participants can choose from four areas tailored to specific industry segments:

“? Production Printing and Workflow Services: discusses the transition to digital printing as a complement to offset printing. Business opportunities include new value-added services and applications such as personalized direct mail, ways to improve workflow, and strategies to improve the return on investment for digitally produced jobs.

“? ProfitAccelerator/Digital Business Resources: helps customers develop a business and marketing plan to find success with digital printing and offers advice on how to grow revenue and reduce costs.

“? Designing for Digital: discusses the benefits of full-color digital printing, including print-on-demand and variable information, and provides tips on prepress methods, proper design techniques, color management, image resolution, file creation and transmission, and proofing.
