Food Truck Wraps: Lomo Lomo
A hand-drawn dragon distinguishes this graphic from the competition.
In “A Healthy Wrappetite,” Associate Editor Kiersten Feuchter dives into five food truck wraps created by Buffalo, New York-based Streamline Designs. All featured truck graphics were printed on a Roland Soljet Pro 4 XR-640, wrapped with 3M Controltac IJ180Cv3, and laminated with 3M Scotchcal Gloss Overlaminate 8518.
The difference in wrapping and hand-painting a truck is “night and day,” Chris Lorich of Streamline Designs says. “We try to do stuff that you can’t physically paint.” This Lomo Lomo truck design is a perfect example: hand-drawn by Tim Pauszek, the brother of one of the owners, scanned, photoshopped, and adapted for print so the dragon’s body wraps around the entire vehicle. Streamline also custom-cut a chalkboard for listing menu items.
