FESPA Announces Printeriors

FESPA has announced the debut of Printeriors, a showcase and conference event focused on the potential for print applications in interior décor. The event will take place alongside FESPA 2015 on May 18-22, 2015, in Koelnmesse, Cologne, Germany.

“Print is making substantial inroads in the realms of architectural design and interior décor, from walls, floor coverings, textiles, and decorative surfaces to furniture and accessories,” says Roz McGuinness, divisional director, FESPA. “Printeriors will set out to inform, educate, and inspire the design community, increasing awareness of print’s capabilities and stimulating demand for printed interior decoration.”

Attendees will visit a series of rooms decorated by printing industry suppliers and their customers, each representing a different commercial or domestic indoor environment. Arranged for a designer’s eye, exhibits will emphasize creativity and innovation over technology and process.

Printeriors will also feature a one-day conference on May 21, led by European designers who are already active in the use of printing applications. Topics will include interior applications, materials, designs, techniques, trends, and case studies.

The event’s proximity to the FESPA 2015 Global Expo will give graphics professionals the chance to learn from the design community as well.
“Many service providers in our community are already actively involved in this segment, or eyeing its potential,” says McGuinness. “Printeriors is the perfect environment to explore interior décor applications as an avenue for possible diversification.” Print providers can hear directly from potential customers and return to the main floor to consider its exhibits in a new light.
