When ABC’s “Extreme Makeover: Home Edition” visited Suffield, Connecticut, to build a home for a deserving family, Pecoy Signature Homes brought on Go Graphix (go-graphix.com), a six-person shop based in East Longmeadow, Massachusetts, to aid with graphical elements for the season premiere.

It started off with banners for sponsors. “We had 50, maybe 100 banners [to start] and watched it grow from there,” says Go Graphix president Jim White. He adds some smaller companies that donated their time didn’t even have logos, so his art director had to create a few. Go Graphix ended up printing 361 banners—all on the shop’s Mimaki JV3—in addition to directional and wayfinding signage, plus show staples like the “Braveheart” march banners and the “Move That Bus” sign.

“For about a month we were running 24/7. It was Extreme Makeover all day and all night,” White adds. With the company’s JV3 running non-stop, a steady supply of ink and media was required. ElevenTen Color donated ETC A-1141 ink as well as various media, including 10-ounce ETC Gloss, 3-ounce Reinforced PVC Banner, and Ultra-
Removable Matte White Vinyl; Fellers also donated media.

Some of the Go Graphix signage, created for promotional efforts and build sites, will be used throughout the “Extreme Makeover: Home Edition” season for various locations.
