Canon Launches DR-5010C Production Scanner

Canon has launched the DR-5010C color and black-and-white scanner for production environments. It measures 7.5 in. tall x 15.6 in. wide x 13 in. deep to fit in limited workspaces and is capable of scanning documents up to 11 x 17 in.

Bundled with an enhanced version of Canon's CapturePerfect scanner software as well as Adobe Acrobat 7.0, the DR-5010C scans at 50 ppm, as well as 100 ipm (images per minute) in duplex mode at 200 dpi. Other features include: 3D color correction; a Rapid Recovery System; punch-hole removal; and ID card scanning using straight-path feed capabilities.
The scanner's CapturePerfect software enables various image-file editing and viewing functions, searchable and encrypted PDF file-format support, and convenient ways to scan documents for different imaging needs (such as scan page, scan batch-to-file, scan-to-presentation, and scan job).
