Coda Pre-Coated Styrene Mounting Boards

Coda premiered its Cold-Mount Styrene
mounting boards at the 2005 PMA show.
These smooth, plastic sheets are coated
on one side with a pressure-sensitive
adhesive and are mounted using a large-format
laminator. Since the board is not
porous or hydroscopic, it will not be
affected by changes in humidity and will
not warp when it gets wet (unlike traditional
cardboard mounts), Coda reports.
The Pre-Coated Styrene is available in
0.040-in. (approx. 3/64-in.) or 0.080-in.
(approx. 3/32-in.) thick sheets; sheet
sizes range up to 30 x 40 in. (Coda: www.codamount.com)
