BenQ America Corp., an internationally renowned provider of visual display solutions, today announced that the company will showcase the latest in its line of professional monitors for color management and computer-aided design (CAD)/computer-aided manufacturing (CAM) in booth 550 at the SIGGRAPH 2014 conference and exhibition in Vancouver, British Columbia. Taking place Aug. 10-14 at the Vancouver Convention Centre, SIGGRAPH is widely recognized as the most prestigious forum for the publication of computer graphics research. At the event, BenQ will highlight the newest solutions from its creative design series of RevolutionEyes monitors.

“We are very excited to exhibit our professional series monitors at one of the world's premier forums for computer graphics and animation professionals,” said Bob Wudeck, Associate Vice President, Strategy and Business Development at BenQ America Corp. “Already highly acclaimed by the industry, at SIGGRAPH 2014 our RevolutionEyes soft-proofing and CAD/CAM monitors will energize creative professionals with their innovative features specifically designed to increase accuracy and simplify workflows.”

Expressly made for photographers, graphic designers, color retouchers, and printers who rely heavily on color accuracy, BenQ's certified color management monitors provide reliable, printing-certified soft-proofing precision at an incredibly affordable price. New at SIGGRAPH 2014, the SW2401PT is a brilliant 23.8-inch QHD display that boasts a 2560 x 1440 native resolution and a special “Black and White” mode for exact proofing of images in monochrome or grayscale. Named Editors' Choice by Reviewed.com, the highly acclaimed self-calibrating PG2401PT 24-inch color management monitor is FograCert Softproof certified, as well as SWOP & GRACoL certified by the IDEAlliance to ensure that on-screen colors visually match off-the-press colors for accurate reproduction. Facilitating collaboration between professionals, both IPS panel monitors cover 100 percent CMYK and 99 percent of the Adobe RGB color space, and are designed to take advantage of today's most popular cloud-based color proofing services such as Adobe's Creative Cloud and PantoneLIVE.

For 3D printing, CAD, and CAM, BenQ will display two new 32-inch professional monitors: the 4K Ultra HD BL3201PH and the wide quad high-definition (WQHD) BL3200PT. With IPS (BL3201PH) and AHVA (BL3200PT) panels enabling 178-degree horizontal and vertical viewing angles, the units bring 77 percent more working space to users. Displaying 4K graphics at 3840 x 2160 resolution, the BL3201PH enables higher pixels per inch (ppi) for a sharper, more precise viewing experience, as well as picture-in-picture and picture-by-picture to facilitate switching screens when working on multiple projects. With a nine out of 10 star rating from AUGIWorld, the BL3200PT dazzles with a WQHD 2560 x 1440 native resolution and 3,000:1 contrast ratio, making it an ideal tool for any designer's workstation.

Both creative design monitors feature BenQ's unique CAD/CAM mode that lets users obtain a special color map for popular CAD programs, making small details in wireframes more visible, while Display Pilot software enables users to change color settings automatically based on specific applications. To further simplify design workflows, the monitors' Auto-Pivot function automatically rotates and partitions content when the display is turned from landscape to portrait mode and vice versa. An OSD controller further speeds setup by allowing users to save their desired monitor presets and activate them at the push of a button.

The entire creative class features BenQ's RevolutionEyes technology, which brings exceptional monitor performance and enhanced visual comfort across the entire professional line. Led by BenQ's market-leading ZeroFlicker™ innovation, the monitors eliminate backlight flickering at all brightness levels, increasing eye comfort and allowing creative professionals to focus on large projects without concern for eye fatigue. Featuring “Low Blue Light” technology, BenQ monitors remove up to 70 percent of blue spectrum light to protect users' eyes during extended work periods without affecting picture quality.
