The upcoming Vue/Point Conference, to be held April 11-13 in Orlando, has moved its hotel site to the Hilton in the Walt Disney World Resort. According to conference management, the event's former site hotel overbooked, necessitating the change of venue.

“We felt the Hilton would offer the best value to Vue/Point Conference attendees. The Hilton caters to families, is easily accessible from anywhere in the country, and lets attendees combine their educational goals with a family holiday at the same time,” says Michael Vinocur, event manager for the conference.

The interactive peer-to-peer conference, held in Florida for the first time in its history, will maintain the same discussion format, and include tabletop exhibits, evening roundtables, social events, and panel sessions during the three days it's held.

Specific sessions will include:

“What Do I Want in My Printer? – A Look at What's Driving Today's Printing Customer”

“The Transition to Digital Printing”

“How I Learned to Love RGB”

“Proofing Today – Just How Big a Role Will the Soft Proof Play?”

“PDF Today – Who, What, Where, and How?”

“Automation Update – What Real Progress is Being made in Production Environments?”

“Developing Variable Data Business – Tips from the Trenches,”

“Variable Data Printing Workflows,” and others.

Vue/Point's goal is to give attendees a full-scope view of the graphic arts industry, including all aspects of digital prepress, digital and traditional printing, bindery and post press finishing, wide format inkjet imaging, and mailing and fulfillment services.

Registration fee: $495 (by February 28), $595 (after February 28). Fees include all conference sessions, breakfast and lunch each day, coffee breaks, evening sessions, and more. (Vue/Point Conference: www.gasc.org)
