Splash of Color has introduced its new HeatWave 64-in. direct-to-fabric printer.

Featuring four piezo print heads and Roland’s Intelligent Pass Control technology, the 4-color DFP-64 utilizes HeatWave sublimation inks and prints at speeds up to 230 sq ft/hr while delivering up to 1440 x 720-dpi resolution with variable dot printing.

The new HeatWave also features: an on-board sublimation system; a cork-covered cylinder that enables shops to print on stretchable fabrics such as Lycra, Spandex, and other sports textiles; an intelligent fabric-handling system that communicates directly with the printer’s motherboard to ensure accurate control of the media; and a temperature-controlled, heated calender system equipped with an infrared thermometer. It comes standard with Roland VersaWorks RIP software, which enables variable-data printing and spot color matching and a Max Impact Preset feature that is designed to produce deeper, more vivid blues and reds while preserving overall color balance.

A four-stage air-fi ltration system for removal of fumes, oil, and dust particles is optional, as is an inline cutting system
