Rollei Introduces Rolleiflex 6008 AF Digital Bundle

Rollei has introduced to the US market its
Rolleiflex 6008 AF Digital Bundle, which
mates the company's film-based Rolleiflex
6008 AF 6×6 medium-format camera to a
PhaseOne db20p digital back, offering up to
16 Mpxl. Targeted to studio and on-location
professionals, the Rolleiflex 6008 AF bundle includes lenses from Schneider-Kreuznach, and is
compatible with all of Rollei's 6000 system
lenses.

The camera features a top shutter
speed of 1/1000 sec and offers three precise
metering methods (center-weighted
average, evaluative, and spot), and exposure
control with aperture-priority, shutter-
priority, and programmed automatic
exposure. It also features flash photography
with pre-flash metering, plus the
option of selective exposure compensation
to cope with difficult situations. The interchangeable film packs allow a photographer to shoot film, Polaroid-type shots as well as digital shots.

The back has a resolution of 4080
x 4080 pxl, and 16-bit color depth, which
gives a total of 48 bits for RGB and 64 bits
for CMYK photography. It offers the option of saving RAW files in addition to TIFF and JPEG files.
The CCD chip features a
dynamic range of 12 f-stops. Its 2.2-in. rear
monitor has a resolution of 116 Mpxl.
