Fast Fleet Graphics

Many shops specialize in swapping out fleet graphics, but Chicago-based Modagrafics has implemented a new system that expedites the usually time-consuming process (it can take up to five weeks’ of time sanding off old decals and installing new graphics). Bear Trucking, a California distributor for MillerCoors brands including Blue Moon, Coors Banquet, Miller Lite, and Sol Cerveza, sought a way to rebrand its trailers more quickly and efficiently – with less time off the roads.

After a test program in 2017, Modagrafics implemented the Spedian Changeable Graphics System in October of 2018, which utilizes a hidden framing structure, to switch out graphics on 34 trailers in just one week with two installers, clocking in at 18 minutes per changeover; the traditional process would have taken at least 17 days with a larger crew, says Jessefer Vazquez, MillerCoors sales operations coordinator. The new system will allow Bear Trucking to update its graphics more frequently with fresh imagery. After a successful launch, Modagrafics installed new banners on 34 more trailers hitting the road this week.
