LexJet's Recyclable DuPont Tyvek SUV

New lightweight banner and display product made to be reused and recycled.

LexJet has introduced 3R DuPont Tyvek SUV, a lightweight banner and display material specifically developed to significantly decrease environmental impact throughout its life cycle. The '3R' in the product's name, says the company, refers to reduce, reuse, and recycle.

Compatible with solvent, low-solvent, and UV-curable printers, the sustainable material weighs in at only 142 g/m2 but is designed to be extremely durable, making it ideal for tradeshow graphics, outdoor signage, and display applications, says LexJet. 3R DuPont Tyvek SUV is made of 100% recyclable high-density polyethylene (HDPE), which is accepted at most local recycling facilities.

It's available in 38-, 54-, and 61-in. widths x 150 ft. As part of the launch of this product (in early 2009), LexJet reports that it also will provide alternative recycling programs to help ensure the material is recycled and reused to create other products through the recycling process. LexJet reports that an aqueous version of the media will be available later this year.
