Kornit Digital and the Fashion Institute of Technology have expanded their third annual partnership challenging design students to work with printed textiles. In the first stage of the collaboration, created original designs that were printed on a Kornit Allegro printer.

This year, more than 40 fashion design students have joined the competition, using their classmates’ printed fabric designs to create ready-to-wear clothing. Entries were judged by Zahir Babvani, VP of design, FullBeauty Brands; Leslie Baker, designer, Bon-Ton; Nicki Gondell, principal, Trend House; Debby Strickler, creative director, Trend House; Erin Doty, art director, Kornit Digital; and Marco Paul, strategic accounts manager, Kornit Digital North America. Garments were evaluated for marketability, use of printed textile, construction, trend, and more.

First place was awarded to Allison Clausius; second place to Anchal Kansra; and third place to Aarohi Shah.
