Jupitermedia Will Acquire PictureArts

Jupitermedia Corporation has agreed to acquire PictureArts Corporation, including the latter's Brand X Pictures, FoodPix, Botanica, and Nonstock brands, as well as PictureArts' image-distribution business.

PictureArts co-founder Jeffrey Burke will retain his PictureArts responsibilities and will also take on the position of senior vice president, product, strategy, for Jupiter Images. Co-founder Lorraine Triolo will remain PictureArts' creative director. Jupitermedia plans to keep all existing distribution and contributor agreements in place. Headquartered in South Pasadena, CA, Picture Arts has more than 75 employees; it also has a sales and creative office in New York City.
