Graphics One debuted the new Sepiax water-based resin inks. Designed for printers with Epson printheads—including Mutoh, Roland, Mimaki, and Epson models—the inks are similar to UV-cured inks and employ heat fixation, which adheres the ink to the heated substrate (113 to 131 degrees F) on contact. Users can print direct to various substrates, coated or uncoated, and the inks can be used for indoor or outdoor graphics. The inks are available in four colors (CMYK), in 1-liter containers. Graphics One is the exclusive distributor of Sepiax for the Americas.

In conjunction with the inks, Graphics One launched its 42-inch GO RJ900 iO rollfed printer, specifically designed for use with the Sepiax inks. The 4-color (CMYK) machine offers a maximum resolution of 2880 dpi and can hit a top speed of 100 square feet/hour (at 1440 x 720 dpi). It features: 360 piezo variable-drop printheads; Mutoh’s i2 Intelligent Interweaving wave technology designed to eliminate print banding; integrated pre-heaters; and a media takeup system. A Wasatch SoftRIP is optional. Price: $9995.
