Flint Ink Corp., of Ann Arbor, MI, has created a new company to provide inkjet inks, contract integration services, and customized solutions to the commercial printing and converting industries.

The new company, named Jetrion LLC, will provide ink, hardware, software, and services for industrial applications of continuous inkjet (CIJ) and drop-on-demand (DOD) inkjet technologies. The president of the new company is Ken Stack, form vice-president/general manager of Flint Ink's Digital Division. According to Stack, “The Jetrion team is committed to helping OEM manufacturers, print companies and converters gain a competitive advantage through digital technology.”

“Large-scale print companies and converters are seeking partners to help them turn the potential of inkjet into profitable reality,” says Stack. “Simply supplying inkjet products is no longer good enough. Jetrion will leverage our industry experience and deep resources to provide differentiated support that includes systems integration and advanced technical and application services.”

Flint Ink Corp. was founded in 1920 and claims to be the world's largest privately owned ink manufacturer. With sales of more than $1.4 billion and 5000 employees, Flint Ink makes flexographic, sheetfed, web offset, gravure, UV/EB curable and digital inks. (Flint Ink: www.flintink.com)
