Minimalist interior décor is hot, though the cacophony it creates is not. But Danish print provider Sumopix found an aesthetic solution, using an acoustic foam filling developed by AP Denmark inserted into the rear cavity of framed canvas prints. In this bedroom, Sumopix used its 60-inch HP Designjet Z6100 and HP Vivera pigment inks output onto HP Professional Matte Canvas White to create the sound-absorbing mosaic. Inks used are key, AP Denmark reports, because they must penetrate the canvas fiber while allowing sound to pass through to the noise-absorbing foam.
