DigiPrime Enhances Indigo Prints

Improves adhesion properties of Indigo inks

Water-based DigiPrime primer from Michelman enhances the quality of ink transfers for HP Indigo digital presses. The primer works by improving the adhesion properties of Indigo inks to the paper or film substrate. DigiPrime improves the rub-resistance of the inks, does not yellow over time, improves edge sharpness, and reduces dot gain. It is available in press-ready versions for uncoated and clay-coated paper grades, as well as polyethylene and some polyester films.

DigiPrime can be applied using traditional coating equipment (including flexo, gravure, rod, or roll coating systems) and is typically applied with a flexographic press. (Michelman: www.michem.com; www.expandingpaper.com)
