Aurora Specialty Textiles Group has added Malibu Canvas GF to its Northern Lights Printable Textiles collection.

Malibu Canvas GF (“GF” stands for “grand format”) is a soft, bright-white canvas with an acrylic gesso coating, making it suitable for solvent inkjet and UV-cure print technologies. The base fabric is made from 100% spun-polyester yarn, allowing the canvas to be stretched and framed without cracking, says the company. Malibu Canvas GF is 18-mils thick and weighs 10.5 oz per sq yd; available in widths up to 120 in., and in 50-ft rolls (custom sizes available). It can be used for fi ne-art reproduction, wall murals, banners, and more. Earlier this year, Aurora added three new products to its printable textile line, including:

• Premium Poplin FR, engineered to be compatible with inkjet UV and dye-sub transfer print technologies. Made of 100% polyester and constructed in a tight poplin weave, Premium Poplin FR weighs 5.8 oz/ sq yd and is 14-mil thick. Available in 60- and 120-in. widths x 100-yd rolls.

• RePlay2 and RePlay2 FR, both made from 100% post-consumer polyester, are part of the company’s Weaves of Green recycled printable textiles. Both are a lightweight 4.6-oz/sq yd poplin-like weave, with a smooth bright-white fi nish. Both are compatible with inkjet UV and dye-sub transfer print technologies. RePlay2 FR is treated to meet the NFPA 701 fl ammability standard. Available in 60- and 120-in. widths x 100-yd rolls.
