Visual Magnetics Enters Three Products for 2013 SGIA Product of the Year

Five-time product of the year winner Visual Magnetics has announced submissions in two SGIA Product of the Year award categories. This is the second time the materials innovation company has entered three products in two separate categories. The competition will be held at this year’s SGIA Expo in Orlando, which runs from October 23-25.

Two of Visual Magnetics’ new products have been entered in the media category – VM-ECOten™ and VM-Walnut™12. VM-ECOten™ is a pioneering magnetic receptive cellulose based substrate and is the latest addition to the MagnaMedia® Specialties Collection. With a 10 mil, 100% FSC and GREENGUARD Gold certified cellulose base with durable resin finish, magnetic receptive reverse surface and an ultra-smooth semi-matte print surface, VM-ECOten™ provides a natural white print surface made from sustainable forestry practices. VM-Walnut™12 is a stunning wood-grain finish veneer also made from a 100% FSC certified cellulose base. The product is dye sublimation printed with a walnut wood grain pattern then encapsulated in a durable resin finish and is the latest addition to the MagnaMedia® Veneer Collection. Both products are ideal for producing high-resolution photo and artwork reproductions, wall murals and POP signage.

Visual Magnetics has also entered an existing product into the finishing category. VM-ActiveWall® is a commercial grade, water-based Micro-Iron® Latex Primer used to activate wall surfaces that will later be fitted with Visual Magnetics’ InvisiLock® magnet. The primer's micro-iron™ content is designed specifically for use in dynamic wall space applications that use Visual Magnetics Graphic System®. The InvisiLock magnet attracts to the ActiveWall primer, allowing MagnaMedia® graphics to be layered and quickly changed without damaging wall surfaces.
