Helping the Customer Who Refused to Be Helped

I used to have a customer who brought her own media and tried to get me to print it on our wide-format Epson art printers. I could never convince her of the complexity of what she was asking and that the media would not work properly to receive the ink, have good color, etc.

I patiently tried to help her understand that we spend days setting up a new media and even if hers would work on our printer, I would have to charge more to set it up custom, not less.

She still just thought I was trying to rip her off and thought I should just throw her paper through the printer and charge her only for the ink. Sometimes folks just think I am sitting around here with nothing to do, waiting for them to come in and give my life purpose I guess. Ha! — Jake Soper, Evermore Prints, Boise, Idaho
