Mimaki has added LUS-170 clear ink and Mimaki Clear Control to the UCJV300 series of UV-LED cutters/printers. Mimaki Clear Control prevents graphics from being disrupted by contaminants in the uncured ink, which shortens cure time by processing the clear ink and UV-light radiation simultaneously, the company reports. Customers can add a glossy or matte finish. RasterLink6 Plus, included with UCJV300, now included Artista UV Texture Library, with 129 swatches accessible through Adobe Illustrator. The textures can be used with LUS-170 clear ink for various visual effects including basic, artistic, and modern patterns.
