Prestige Graphics (www.pgigx.com) in Silver Spring, Maryland, worked with Nature’s Best Photography magazine to produce the prints for the 2013 Nature’s Best Photography Windland Smith Rice International Awards Exhibition.

Nearly 50 of the award-winning images are being showcased on the rotunda level of the Smithsonian National Museum of Natural History in Washington, DC, through 2014. The winners were chosen from more than 20,000 entries from photographers in 46 countries, and include portraits of animals, plant life, oceans, and landscapes. The Grand Prize winner: Southern-Pig Tailed Macaque, by CS Ling (www.cslingphotography.com), which shows a juvenile macaque taking a sip of water while hanging upside-down over the Kinabatangan River in Borneo.

Prestige Graphics output all of the exhibition prints, many in sizes up to 43 x 64 inches, using its 44-inch Epson Stylus Pro 9900 printer and Epson UltraChrome HDR inks, onto Epson White Semi-Matte Professional Paper (Epson is a global sponsor of the exhibition). Prestige also executed all necessary file preparation, and face-mounted the prints to Plexiglas for the exhibit.

“It's always fun fine-tuning color with the client and trying to adhere to his exacting specifications,” says Mark McCall with Prestige Graphics.
