Struck by Lightning

In producing this 50-foot Mystic showcase powerboat wrap for Lightning Performance Group, a manufacturer of high-performance boat engines and parts, Ace Sign Company (acesignco.com) was put to the test: “The graphics were requested as seamless [and] application to a 50-foot compound curve was no easy task,” says Ace’s Todd Bringuet.

Output was completed with the shop’s Mimaki JV3-130SP II printer, onto Orafol Orajet 3951RA professional wrap film, followed by Orafol OraGuard 290 laminate. Also part of the project: a custom fabricated dashboard for the boat, wrapped in Orafol 975 Carbon Fiber film, plus the tractor’s cut graphics.
