ScanDex-IX Offers Browser-Based Document Distribution

Internet-enabled ScanDEX-IX software
from IDEAL is geared toward “vast docu-
ment repositories.” Based on Ideal's Scan-
Dex Pro indexing/archiving system, it
adds a browser-based document distribution
to the workflow. Software features
include: Automatically loads images to be
indexed; automatically zooms to area on
image for each field; uses default values
and macros. In addition ScanDex-IX supports
multipage management and multiple
scanners on a single workstation to
speed up the archiving process.

ScanDex-IX supports multiple formats,
including TIFF, PDF, Photoshop, DWF, JPEG-
2000, DWG, DGN, Mr. SID, and more; and
allows users to run multiple databases,
with no limit on the records or fields.
ScanDex-IX supports a wide range of wideformat
scanners including Contex, Vidar,
