Reviving School Spirit

After Southmoore High School in Moore, Oklahoma, had its band trailer destroyed when severe tornadoes hit the area last spring, a local dealer came forward to donate a 53-foot replacement.

But with graphics critical to the trailer as well as school spirit – the vehicle was placed prominently in the parking lot during the school’s sporting events – the local Tri-State Sign Association (TSSA) stepped up and agreed to pay for a trio of its members to produce and install the wrap: Graphic Solutions Group (GSG, www.gogsg.com), 247 Graphx (www.vehiclewrappricing.com), and Insignia Signs (www.insigniasigns.com).

“We encourage cooperative initiatives among our members to improve their businesses, strengthen our industry, and positively impact the communities where we live and work,” says Gene Russell, executive director of the Tri-State Sign Association. “Helping the Southmoore band was a wonderful opportunity for us to do something special for these young people who had been so greatly affected by the destruction.”

Graphic Solutions Group used its HP Designjet L26500 printer with HP Latex inks to output the graphics designed by Natalie Burden onto 3M Envision Print Wrap Film 480Cv3. 247 Graphx, which executed the prepress work, also took on the laminating (Endura laminator and 3M IJ480Cv3 laminate), while Insignia Signs assisted with the installation.
