Nikon Updates Capture NX

Nikon has issued an upgrade to its Capture NX image-editing and processing software. Version 1.1 now offers full compatibility with Intel-based Macintosh computers and with Windows Vista. The software also offers several keyboard shortcuts, as well as a simpler interface, featuring resizable palettes for histograms and curves and levels adjustments.

Capture NX 1.1 utilizes UPoint technology for image editing, which allows photographers to select specific areas of an image for editing without the use of masks, layers, or selections. The software supports JPEG and TIFF images from any source, as well as Nikon’s RAW (NEF) format images.

Price: $149.95. Available to current users of Capture NX at no additional cost.
