Fujifilm has introduced its Acuity Advance Select UV flatbed. The Advance Select builds on the company’s Acuity Advance platform and includes eight independent ink channels.

The 8-channel model includes CMYK with an additional channel for cyan and magenta, and the option of 2 channels of white (allowing for in-line double-strike white capability) or white plus clear ink. Also new are additional vacuum zones to further reduce manual masking, plus new job-handling capabilities.

Available in two sizes: Select (49 x 98 in.) and Select X2 (98 x 120 in.); both models can accommodate media up to 1.9-in. thick. A roll-media kit is optional (86-in. wide max). Print resolution: 1200-dpi equivalent. Top speed is 353 sq ft/hr (Select flatbed); production speed is 219 sq ft/hr (Select flatbed). ColorGate ProductionServer7 Fujifilm Edition RIP.
