Mimaki USA has expanded its UJF Series line with the UJF-7151 UV-LED flatbed, designed to help screen printers and pad printers make the switch to digital applications, including short runs for awards and recognition or promotional items, as well as industrial applications. To this end, the printer accommodates media up to 28 x 20 in. and up to 6 in. thick.

Making use of Mimaki’s Advance Pass System 4 to reduce banding, Fine Diffusion 1 patented dithering technique in RasterLink6 RIP software, variable dot printing, and UV-LED curing, the new printers output up to 35.5 sq ft/hr (a 60% increase from the UJF-6042, the company reports) at resolutions up to 1200 dpi.

Three compatible inks are available, from chemical- and abrasion-resistant options for banners and vehicle wraps to inks for thermoforming applications: LH-100 (CMYK+white+clear), PR-200 (primer), and LUS-120 (CMYK+white+clear). Add-ons to CMYK for the 7151’s six staggered piezo inkjet printheads include white, clear, and jetable primer.

With dimensions of 86.5 x 61.9 x 50.1 in., the UJF-7151 weighs 699 lbs and is Energy Star certified.
