Installer Certification Program from Lowen

Lowen Corporation has launched Lowen Certified, a training and certification program for vehicle wraps and related digital graphics, and has opened a 19,000-square-foot state-of-the art Training and Certification Center at the company’s headquarters in Hutchinson, Kansas.

Installers can pursue any of five designations:
• Vehicle Wrap Installation Professional;
• Fleet Graphics Installation Professional;
• Rough Wall Installation Professional;
• On Premise Graphics Installer; and
• Lowen Certified Expert Installer (indicates passing all four of the above skill sets).

Lowen’s testing program takes place at the Training and Certification Center in Hutchinson. The facility also doubles as a 3M Graphics Authorized Testing Center, giving students the opportunity to test for both Lowen and 3M certifications at the same time (test results are provided to 3M for its approval) .

“We are raising the bar as it relates to quality installation services in this country,” says Sergio DeSoto, Lowen VP of sales and marketing. “We take the business of professional installation very seriously and want to associate ourselves with only the best installers in the country. Installers will have to prove themselves and earn the right to carry this certification.”

Other features of the program include: The certification status is portable, meaning that the certification stays with the individual, not the company; certified installers become part of the Lowen installation network, which provides opportunities to bid on large install projects; and discounts on products and services offered by Lowen and discounts on Mac Tools and other installation tools and supplies (but Lowen does not require installers to purchase any products or services in return for Lowen Certified status).

Registration cost for the program: $899 per individual (group discounts available).

Lowen produced its first annual Lowen Certified Wrap-Off this past spring, in conjunction with the International Sign Association’s Sign Expo in Las Vegas.
