Ilford Imaging Switzerland has secured a technology partnership with Lintec Sign Systems, a subsidiary of Lintec Corporation. The agreement will result in Ilford’s latest coating technologies – including its new NanoSolvent and AquaBlock coatings – being applied to a range of bases manufactured by Lintec; the products will be available on a global basis under the Lintec brand.

“The collaboration will benefit both companies and more importantly our customers.” says Paul Willems, Ilford Imaging Switzerland CEO, “I am looking forward to working with the Lintec team as I believe that with the combination of their manufacturing technology and our coating capability, we will continue to push the boundaries within the commercial sign-and-display market.”

The first results of the technology partnership were demonstrated at the recent Sign & Display Show in Tokyo, September 19-21.

Jim Halloran, VP of sales and marketing for Lintec of America, indicates that the American subsidiary will be integrating the Ilford technologies as well, “although our production selection might be a bit different than Japan’s.” He indicates that some new products will debut at the upcoming SGIA Expo in Orlando.

“Lintec prides itself on being at the forefront of innovative technology within our market. The team at Ilford has demonstrated that their leading edge coating capabilities will enhance our existing product range as well as allow us to develop new products to meet the demands and needs of our customers,” says Mr. Kojima, CEO of Lintec Sign Systems. “Lintec is constantly striving to bring customers the latest in product innovation.”
