High-Speed Indigo ws4050

Hewlett-Packard has introduced its latest high-speed digital color press”?the Indigo ws4050. Specifically designed to meet the need of the labeling market, the ws4050 prints variable labels on-demand, at a top print speed of 52.5 ft/min in 4-color. It offers an image quality up to 800 x 1600 dpi using 4- or 6-color HP ElectroInk (including white ink) on media as wide as 13 in.

The ws4050 prints on a wide variety of media including self-adhesive label stock, and synthetic materials (such as PE, PET, OPP, PS/OPS, Teslin, vinyl, and PVC), as well as specialized stock such as metalized PET and “no-label-look” substrates. It also enables duplex imaging for two-sided labels.

The high-speed press is compatible with digital workflow options from HP partners, which allows converting and finishing processes to be performed in a single, integrated line. (Hewlett-Packard: www.hp.com)
