Hamrick Releases VueScan 8.0.9 Scanning Software

Hamrick has released updated VueScan
version 8.0.9, enabling users to easily produce
better-looking digital images from
color snapshots, negatives, slides, and
documents. Improvements include automatic
self-cropping feature and new support
for Canon EOS and Nikon D RAW files.

VueScan offers support for RAW files
for more than 100 digital cameras and for
more than 100 scanners. The software
automatically adjusts images to optimum
color balance, includes a built-in color calibration
of scanners, offers options for
scanning faded slides and prints, and
improves productivity with batch scanning
and advanced scanning options.

The VueScan Standard Edition is
$59.95; the Professional Edition costs
$79.95 for a single-user license. Professional
offers the same features as Standard
plus the ability to create RAW scan files, ICC
profiles, multiple color spaces, IT8 color calibration,
