GWG and Ryerson University Bring Popular, Free PDF Production Seminars to Toronto

The Ghent Workgroup (GWG) today announces its partnership with Ryerson University's School of Graphic Communications Management. The organizations have come together to bring immediately useable information in the form of two free seminars for publishing, packaging, and production companies. The seminars will be held at Ryerson's campus in Toronto, Canada, on Wednesday, October 23. Space is limited; to register for the events, please go to: https://gwgtoronto2013.eventbrite.com.

Many of the industry's most revered PDF and packaging experts will present at the special event. The high-value educational presentations cover application-specific guidelines for PDF/X-4 workflows.

Seminar #1 presents the new GWG PDF for Packaging specifications that streamline and ensure packaging design and production workflows.

Seminar #2 features the latest on the GWG2012 specifications for the creation and preflight of PDF/X-4 files that ensure successful production.

GWG Education on the World Stage

In 2013, GWG has stepped up its live event offerings around the world. The organization kicked the year off with a packed seminar program at London's College of Communications, and also just presented a special packaging session entitled, The Future of PDF for Packaging, at the PRINT '13 trade show at McCormick Place in Chicago.

About the GWG
The Ghent Workgroup, formed in June 2002, is an international assembly of industry associations and suppliers from across Europe and the United States. The Ghent Workgroup's objective is to establish and disseminate process specifications for best practices in graphic arts workflows.

Since its inception ten years ago, the organization has consistently produced numerous process specifications for PDF dissemination as well as developing useful tools for automating processes and establishing consistent PDFs for print and publishing – all available free at: www.gwg.org.
