Ghent PDF Workgroup White Paper Now Available

A free white paper on best practices and specs for PDF–“PDF Specifications in Practice”–has been made available by the Ghent PDF Workgroup (GWG).

The white paper provides a comprehensive overview of current PDF specifications developed by GWG, and how to use the specifications to achieve workflows for a range of print categories, including magazines, newspapers, sheetfed offset, and digital. It also offers background information on GWG specs, and illustrates their use in popular desktop, PDF-generation, and PDF-verification applications.

The white paper is downloadable from the GWG website. It's the first in a series of educational materials to be issued by the GWG in 2005.
