The Vutek FabriVu 520 soft signage printer has been revealed at the annual user conference in Las Vegas. Applications for the 205-in. machine include , theater drapes, and more. Production speeds reach up to 4800 sq ft/hr, with a max. resolution of 2400 dpi and four-level grayscale printing. Droplet sizes range from 4 to 18 pL.

The FabriVu 520 is equipped for both direct-to-textile and transfer printing using the same inkset. Features include an automatic printhead cleaning station, a capping station, ink recirculation, and a wrinkle detect system to prevent head strikes. The media handling system features a roll unwinder/rewinder for rolls up to 13.75 in. in diameter.

The machine also features EFI’s Fiery proServer digital front end software, with color management tools; RIP software; the EFI ES-2000 spectrophotometer; a Fiery station with furniture, keyboard, and mouse; and more.
