Creo and DuPont are working together to create a Cromalin Veris proofing solution, in which DuPont will deploy its DuPont CromaNet color management and DuPont Cromalin ink and media on the Creo Veris proofer. The Cromalin Veris will be sold through DuPont sales channels.

The Creo Multi-Drop Array imaging technology used on the Veris proofer delivers precise control of its 3-pl ink drops, the two companies report. And, says Paolo Barbieri, global business director for DuPont Color Communication, “This innovation creates a premiere level of image quality and color accuracy that, when associated with the finest Cromalin color management and media, will offer a unique, high-level contract proofing solution.”

Creo will continue to sell Veris proofing solutions as well as Creo ink, media, and prepress workflows through Creo sales channels.

The two companies report that they also are beginning evaluation on a new version of the DuPont Cromalin b2 drop-on-demand inkjet printer, which will be integrated with Creo workflow, color management, and consumables. (Creo: www.creo.com, DuPont Imaging Technologies: www.dupont.com/proofing)
