Time was definitely of the essence for Zurich, Switzerland-based Rutschi AG. Its task: Print the graphics for—and install the wrap on—two 85-foot trains in six days. For the quick turnaround, Rutschi used a combination of its Mutoh Spitfire Extreme and Roland Soljet Pro VII printers to output the 720 x 720-dpi graphics onto more than 21,528 square feet of media. Rutschi installers had only one attempt to install the wrap, including the special door effects—two bats kissing when doors on one train were opened, and a bat eating a fl y when the doors of the second train were opened. For its effort, Rutschi received the top award in the Vehicle Category of the 2009 FESPA Digital Print Awards.
