To promote its Plus One credit-card loyalty program in a unique style, Chase contacted New York City-based TrashTalk! Outdoor to arrange a college promotional campaign that would utilize the latter company's 'Bicytaxis.'

Consisting of a three-wheeled bicycle with a cab enclosure and a seat in the back for passengers, each Bicytaxi features a 60 x 48-in. back panel, a 40 x 48-in. ad on one side, a 40 x 40-in. ad on the other side, and one large piece that runs as the 'background and nose' piece that can have 'free-floating' logos.

Fifty Bicytaxis were sent to 20 college campuses across the country, including Georgetown, Harvard, NYU, American University, MIT, Ohio State, and others. Students were given free rides to their classes and, along the way, were provided information about a Chase sweepstakes. Of course, they also couldn't help but see the Chase advertisements about the Plus One program on the taxis and the drivers' corresponding T-shirts (provided by Chase/Noise Marketing). The campaign was staggered across the different colleges for a full month.

The graphics were designed by Noise Marketing (www.noisemarketing.com) and printing was completed by Coloredge Visual, based out of New York and New Jersey. Utilizing its EFI Vutek UltraVu 3360, Coloredge printed onto 6000 sq ft of 3M Controltac with Comply film and added a 3M Scotchcal Luster overlaminate with its AGL 64 laminator for all 50 Bicytaxis. The graphics were printed in sections according to the part of the vehicle to which they would be applied. WrapStar Installation did the install.

Coloredge Visual has been in business since 1970 and features 175,000 sq ft of space across its two locations. It employs a total of 275 people and owns five Durst Lambdas, two EFI Vutek UltraVu 5300s and a Vutek UltraVu 3360, five HP Designjet 5500s, seven laminators, an HP Ultra Indigo, an Iris 3047, and various other scanning and finishing equipment.
