Wasatch has released support for the HP Designjet L25500 printer. Drivers for the latex printer are included in the January 2010 release of Wasatch SoftRIP and are also included in the Wasatch SoftRIP HP Exclusive Edition.
In addition to providing support for the L25500, the HP Exclusive Edition now also includes support for all older HP solvent printers. Other features include: a 16-bit color-rendering pipeline, Precision Stochastic Screens halftone method, color-management controls, intuitive direct-to-layout workflows, automated Smart Nesting, and more. (These features are available in the full-edition Wasatch SoftRIP, as well.)
Wasatch SoftRIP users can request an upgrade prior to the expiration of their service contract, Wasatch reports.
Suggested list price of the SoftRIP HP Exclusive Edition: $1495; list price of the full-edition Wasatch SoftRIP is $2995.
