(PRESS RELEASE) In a strategic move to boost its wide format printing capacities, Simpson Print recently integrated the high-end swissQprint flatbed printer Kudu into its operations. This investment sets new industry standards in quality, efficiency, and versatility.

Simpson Print, a trailblazer in the wide format printing industry in Canada, has once again elevated its printing capabilities. The company was the first Canadian print service provider to install the latest swissQprint model, the high-end flatbed printer Kudu. This adds up to a total of four swissQprint flatbeds at Simpson Print as the company has already operated three Nyalas for several years. Carla Johanns, Vice President Sales and Marketing of Simpson Print, reflects on this latest addition.

A commitment to quality and innovation

Integrating the swissQprint Kudu, Simpson Print continues to demonstrate its commitment to delivering superior quality and state-of-the-art solutions. “It was important to our customers that we continued to deliver the same level of quality that they have come to equate us with for their wide format graphics,” said Carla. “The Kudu allows us to not only meet the diverse needs of our global clientele but also enhances our ability to handle high-volume projects swiftly without compromising on quality.”

The Kudu features a 127.5×79.9-inch flatbed and ten freely configurable color channels. Options include light colors, white, varnish, and neon inks. Combined with the 126-inch roll to roll option, this printer provides largest application versatility. It produces up to 1350 dpi resolution and outputs a maximum of 3272 ft2/h.

Reliable operational efficiency

“We meet tight deadlines with ease,” said Carla. All swissQprint large format printers have low maintenance needs and are reliable in terms of color consistency. Coupled with support from swissQprint, this ensures continuous productivity throughout Simpson Print’s two shifts. Carla added: “We are using our Kudu for a wide variety of substrates to meet our diverse market requirements, including corrugated for high volume temporary display work, acrylic sheets through to sustainable synthetics.”

Leader in digital printing technology

Simpson Print’s strategic improvement of its printing capacities with the Kudu printer marks another milestone in the company’s history. It positions Simpson Print as a leader in digital printing technology, ready to take on new challenges and continue its legacy of quality and innovation.
