EFI has launched PrintSmith Sign, designed for print and sign providers. Built on the foundation of the company’s PrintSmith print-management information system for on-demand/commercial shops, PrintSmith Sign is a shop-management system that offers estimating, point-of-sale, account management, production management, receivables, and sales-analysis tools. It supports square-area print pricing, square-area and linear finishing, and roll and rigid substrates.

PrintSmith Sign will work with any equipment, including Vutek and Rastek. It will also support operations with any combination of digital and offset production as well—all within a single system. It integrates directly with EFI Fiery XF RIP, Digital StoreFront, and EFI’s Fiery-driven output devices; it also integrates with accounting packages such as Peachtree by Sage, MYOB, Intuit QuickBooks, and others.

PrintSmith Sign is a modular software system, so users can start with PrintSmith Estimator as an entry-level solution, for instance, and later add modules such as PrintSmith Lite, PrintSmith Multi-User, and PrintSmith Portable. Price: Starting at  $3500.
