Roland DGA has introduced its latest desktop cutter, Camm-1 GS-24.

The GS-24 features a redesigned cutting carriage and blade holder with 10 times overlap cutting capability and 350g of downforce (a 40% increase from its predecessor), which allows users to cut a variety of materials from 2 to 27.5 in. wide. Equipped with a digital servomotor, the machine is capable of cutting vinyl, paint mask, twill, heat transfers, magnetic materials, and card stock at a max. speed of 20 in./sec. Designed for applications such as vehicle and specialty graphics, signs and decals, and decorated apparel.

Other features include an LCD panel for monitoring and control; a blade groove on the cutter’s apron for manual cutting; a roller base that keeps feeds straight; and Roland CutStudio software for enlarging, reducing, repositioning, rotating, and mirroring images. CutStudio supports BMP, JPEG, STX, AL, and EPS file formats, as well as the ability to cut directly from Adobe Illustrator or CorelDraw (also included).
