Ricoh USA has unveiled the Ricoh Pro L5130/L5160 wide-format, roll-to-roll latex presses, which print at speeds up to 474 sq ft/hr on media up to 64-in. wide. The printers use the company’s Greenguard-certified latex inks with industrial-grade printheads to produce output with 1200 x 1200 dpi. Available with CMYK and CMYK + white, applications include wallcoverings, window graphics, and backlit signage. A three-way intelligent heater ensures prints are ready for immediate finishing and prevents melting or warping of thinner substrates, the company reports. Additional features include one-touch automated daily maintenance to clean and purge printheads, automated nozzle drop detection for consistent image quality and continuous production, and Web Image Monitor which allows users to remotely check on the device and job status.
