Already comprising 74- and 100-in. models, the d-Gen Teleios series of direct textile printers has now added a compact 54-in. version, the aptly badged Teleios 54. Designed as “the optimal sampling strategy for in-house users and/or designers concerned about color gamut and price performance versus productivity,” the Teleios 54 shares nearly all of the same features as its larger siblings.

The six-color (CMYK+RB) machine can accommodate media up to 54-in. wide and 1-mm thick and achieve a maximum resolution of 720 dpi. Print speeds range from 279 sq ft/hr in standard (2-pass) mode to 204 sq ft/hr in quality mode, 150 sq ft/hr in superior quality mode, and 75 sq ft/hr in supreme quality mode (8-pass).

Key features include a large-capacity ink-feeding system, a heat-fixation unit with embedded computer allowing for control of heat speed and temperature in proportion to the amount of jetted ink, and a textile-feeding system designed for easy printing on a variety of fabrics including mesh, chiffon, and flag and banner fabrics without curvature and twisting. Options include a pre-coating machine and heat cutter.

Price of the Teleios 54: $57,800, including Fume Buster filtration system; RIP is optional.

The company also has introduced the “S” (for “stylish”), a textile printer that is capable of printing front and back of substrates simultaneously. The technology is ideal for applications including banners, point-of-purchase, silk scarves and clothing, home textiles (curtains, wallcoverings), and more. The “S” uses Phenol-free, water-based inks.
