IDEAlliance International has renamed DDAP and set a new course for the association. Now titled Digital Directions in Applications for Production, DDAP will work with the other IDEAlliance associations and international standards bodies to advance digital workflow best practices.

“DDAP will be working closely with the newly launched IDEAlliance Print Properties Committee and Digital Ad Lab to align PDF/X initiatives within North America, and create synergies and build consensus with standards work being done internationally,” says David Steinhardt, president and CEO of IDEAlliance. “DDAP's primary role will be identifying and publishing the best practices associated with standards-based digital workflow.”

In addition, the association will have a new network membership program. Membership will enable content creators, pre-media professionals, printers, and other workflow partners to actively participate in DDAP networking groups and collaborate on workflow-organization projects to help develop industry best practices. Members also will have access to the DDAP Forum for online discussion of case studies and new standards developments, as well as attend quarterly webinars of case-study reviews, receive copies of published case studies, receive discounted registrations for all IDEAlliance events, and more.
