New 3M Overlaminates

3M has introduced several new overlaminates to its lineup of graphics-protection products.

Its new Scotchcal Luster Overlaminate 3619 and Matte Overlaminate 3620 are 2-mil vinyl overlaminates designed to protect flexible, flat rigid, and thermoformed back-lit sign faces from environmental harm, including ultraviolet light. Scotchcal 3619 and 3620 are available in 48-, 54-, and 60-in. rolls and are compatible with 3M Panagraphics II Wide-Width Flexible Substrate, 3M Scotchcal IJ3650, IJ3630, and 3M Piezo Inkjet inks. When combined with other 3M products, these products can be warranted for up to five years.

3M has also added Scotchcal Ultra-Matte Overlaminate 8915, a 2-mil transparent vinyl film that can be used for interior and exterior applications. It’s recommended for graphics that require a nonglare option-sporting arenas, museums, etc.-and can also be used to provide a different look for vehicle wraps, murals, and signs when paired with 3M’s Controltac Graphic Film. Ultra-Matte 8915 is available in 49- and 54-in. rolls.
